This week I watched my little girl take her first class at The Little Gym. It's a movement class for toddlers that helps them become familiar and comfortable moving their little bodies and exploring gymnastic equipment. She loved every minute of it! The instructors were very energetic & patient. I noticed that they didn't force kids to participate in their activity, but they all had to follow certain rules. The instructors reigned the wanderers in with kindness and enthusiasm!
I also spent some time noticing restaraunts and other local businesses that display and sell art. I saw art at the Rio Grande Cafe, Cafe Madrid, Mr. Carwash (formerly Bischoff Car Wash), Frida's Cafe & the Neighborhood Pharmacy. Most displayed local artist, but not all. I'm sure there are tons more businesses that support art, and I like to support them in turn!
These are a few originals done by a local artist, Doty Egan, for Bischoff Car Wash as a thank you for supporting the arts in our community. Now that Bischoff's has sold to Mr. Carwash, they are selling art, even though they're not local.
